apt-get tidak dapat menemukan paket pada versi lama distro saya

Saya bekerja pada komputer Linux Mint 16 dan karena baru-baru ini, setiap kali saya ingin menginstal sesuatu apt-get install, pesan log mengatakan bahwa paket tidak dapat diautentikasi. Saya teruskan dan mencoba untuk menginstalnya tanpa authetication dan ternyata sebagian besar paket tidak ditemukan.

Di akhir proses, pesan konsol menyarankan saya untuk menggunakan apt-get updateatau --fix-missing. Jadi itulah yang saya lakukan: sudo apt-get updatedan segera setelah saya coba instal lagi sudo apt-get install nginxtetapi saya masih mendapatkan pesan kesalahan yang sama.

Apa masalahnya? Apakah saya melewatkan sesuatu?

Catatan: Saya akan menyalin / menempel log tetapi mereka dalam bahasa Spanyol sehingga mereka mungkin tidak akan banyak membantu bagi sebagian besar.
