Amplify alsa capture melebihi 100%?

Saya menggunakan ALSA. Volume mic saya sangat rendah sehingga bahkan 100% volume pengambilan tidak cukup dalam percakapan skype. Apakah ada cara untuk memperkuat volume penangkapan melebihi 100%?

Saya tidak bisa menggunakan pulseaudio. Karena komputer saya sudah sangat tua, menggunakan pulseaudio dengan skype akan menghabiskan sebagian besar sumber daya CPU sehingga kualitas obrolan video menjadi tidak dapat diterima.
